ROLE: FREELANCE DESIGNER

Being involved in the weekly Madrasah (sunday school) and the Madrasah Centre of Excellence (MCE) project, I realized the need for a place where resources from different schools, administrations, teachers and parents can be centralized and accessible to all around the world.

 

Grow is a self - initiated project that will allow students, teachers, parents and guardians to access resources pertaining to Islamic education, especially in the West. To allow an all - rounded educational resource base, Grow will provide information and resources on secular and religious subjects. The secular sections has been inspired by a recent trip to the United Nations, the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the Focolare community in Geneva, Switzerland. The religious content is influenced by the work of Mohammed Ali Shomali (Head of the Hawza Ilmiyya of England) and other inspirational Muslim speakers, as well as the work and resources being produced in various madaris (sunday schools) around the world.

Grow will encourage learning through its content and interactivity, and actively encouraging users to connect and form networks throughout the world. Grow is also a network by itself, requiring a team of diverse people to contribute, upload and maintain its dynamic environment.
